Sophomore Track Star Transfers to Crescenta Valley

Sophomore Tara Gregory, a standout track athlete and basketball player at Temple City High during the 1994-95 school year, has transferred to Crescenta Valley.
Gregory was the runner-up in the 800 meters in the Southern Section Division III championships and has a personal best of 2 minutes 19.19 seconds.
She also runs cross-country and is expected to start competing for the Falcons next week.
In basketball, the 5-foot-2 point guard averaged 14 points, six assists and seven steals.
Football
Moorpark College quarterback Jeremie Watkins underwent surgery Thursday to repair torn ligaments in his left knee and will be sidelined for the season.
Watkins, a sophomore from Simi Valley High, suffered the injury in a scrimmage against El Camino on Sept. 1. He was projected to be the starter for the Raiders.
