Bruins Fans Have Had 2-2 Much of Donahue
Here we go again with those spoiled Bruin fans. So what if UCLA’s Rose Bowl hopes are dead in September--they’ve gone four times in 20 years, how greedy can you get? Hasn’t Terry Donahue warned of the dangers of great expectations? And how about those injuries? Red Sanders, Dick Vermeil and Tommy Prothro sure were lucky. It’s just so hard to recruit at legitimate academic institutions like Harvard, MIT and UCLA.
Cheer up, Bruins. You’ve still got a shot at the Aloha Bowl. Now give me an eight-clap!

In case the Pac-10 doesn’t know it, UCLA is going to hand it off or pass to Karim Abdul-Jabbar. Just thought I’d save the other teams the time they take looking at game films.

Julius Caesar wrote: “Veni, vidi, vici-- I came, I saw, I conquered.” About Terry Donahue’s coaching he might write: “Veni, vidi, vimpi-- I came, I saw, I wimped.”

There are three oxymorons that confound mankind: postal service, military intelligence and Donahue’s coaching.
