Irvine Sensors Names New Executive VP

John J. Stuart Jr., chief financial officer for Irvine Sensors Corp., has also been named executive vice president. Stuart joined the Costa Mesa-based company in 1983 as manager of special projects and communications, and became chief financial officer and treasurer in 1985. In addition, William Hornback has joined the company in the newly created position of director of electro-optical systems. Hornback has previously worked for Northrop Grumman Corp., Hughes-Santa Barbara Research Center and Rockwell International.

William Gresher has been named senior vice president, chief financial, operating and administrative officer for Bikers Dream Inc., a Santa Ana company that sells motorcycles, parts, accessories and apparel. Gresher was previously vice president of corporate financial planning at Allergan Inc.

Mitchell Stone has been appointed general sales manager for the United States and Canada for Datum Inc.’s timing division. Before joining the Anaheim-based company, Stone was director of sales, Pacific region, for Odetics Inc.

Thomas M. Malcolm has been appointed 1996 chair of the Southern California State Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is partner-in-charge of the Irvine office of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.

Thomas M. Linden has joined the board of directors of CT Realty Corp., an Irvine real estate investment company. Linden is a real estate developer and investor.

Judy Daughton Anderson has been named public relations account supervisor for Roberts, Mealer & Co. Advertising and Public Relations in Santa Ana. She was previously marketing communications manager of NuReality, a manufacturer of multimedia peripherals. Anderson has also held management positions with NewGen Systems Corp., Maxtor and Tandem Computers.

Toby Rodriguez has been appointed vice president of second trust deed production for Preferred Mortgage Corp., an Irvine mortgage banking company. He joined the company last year after serving as a loan officer at Imperial Credit Industries. In addition, Jeffrey T. Seabold has been named vice president of wholesale production. Before joining Preferred earlier this year, he was regional production manager for Countrywide Funding Corp. Lori L. Cartwright was named operations manager, responsible for overseeing all loan operations. She was formerly secondary marketing coordinator for Westbay Capital, and before that, held operations positions at American Home Capital, Cal Star Financial and Sunwest Bank.

Paul D. Leinberger has joined Roper Starch Worldwide’s Newport Beach office as vice president. He was previously corporate manager in charge of market strategy and research at Nissan North America Inc., and before that, managing director of AMR: Quantum Monitor Services, an Australian market research and social trend forecasting firm. Roper Starch is a marketing and public opinion research company.

Jim Neiger has joined Essex Realty Management Inc. in Costa Mesa as senior vice president responsible for property management and leasing. He was previously a senior manager with Koll Management Services, and before that, was an asset manager for Jerico Management Co. and Southport Financial Corp.

Gustavo Gutierrez has joined S. Bravo Systems Inc. in Buena Park as general manager. He had been a management consultant for the California Manufacturing Technology Center in Los Angeles. Bravo Systems manufactures environmental petroleum equipment.

Douglas P. McCombs and Kim E. Tobler have been named partners in the Orange County office of Ernst & Young. McCombs has been a member of the audit practice since joining the firm in 1982. Tobler, who recently joined the Ernst & Young/Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Advisory Services Group, has been with the firm for 10 years. Meanwhile, Steven J. Olivier has been appointed a principal. He has worked in the audit department for more than 14 years, and has overseen the Financial Services and Insurance industry group for the Orange County, San Diego and Inland Empire offices for the past year.

Mark Lyons has joined Strategic Mortgage Services in Costa Mesa as Western regional vice president. He was previously a national accounts director for Lenders Service Inc.
