Agoura Hills : Communities to Open Toxic Waste Centers

Five communities have launched a regional program to help residents dispose of household hazardous wastes in an environmentally safe manner.
Collection centers will be set up on a monthly basis beginning in October in Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu and Westlake Village.
Agoura Hills will hold a grand opening at its collection center at 10 a.m. Saturday at City Hall, 30101 Agoura Court. Thereafter, it will hold collection days at that location on the first Saturday of each month. For information, call (818) 597-7300.
Calabasas and Hidden Hills will hold collections on the second Saturday of each month at Calabasas City Hall, 28135 Mureau Road. For information, call (818) 878-4225 or (818) 888-8281.
Westlake Village collections will be held the fourth Saturday of each month at Berniece Bennett Park, 31800 Village Center Road. For information, call (818) 706-1613.
Malibu will hold collections the third Saturday of each month at City Hall at 23555 Civic Center Way. For information, call (310) 458-2489.
Used motor oil and filters, antifreeze and latex paints will be accepted at the collection centers.
