UC Irvine dance professor Donald McKayle has been awarded a $9,100 choreographers fellowship by the National Endowment for the Arts. McKayle is one of six California residents to have won such fellowships, part of the NEA’s fourth-quarter 1995 grant allotment. Nationwide, 345 groups received a total of $6.45 million in awards.
