GARDEN GROVE — The city is recruiting workers and local businesses to participate in its Job Training Partnership Act program.
Under the program, the federal government will reimburse employers 50% of wages paid employees who meet certain low-income or unemployment criteria.
Employers must have been in business for at least two years, have four or more regular employees and have a steady employment record.
Workers must be 21 or older, have a good work history but lack updated skills or have a vocational certificate and face difficulty finding a job. Qualified people will receive on-the-job training and earn at least $8 per hour.
