Defenseman Arto Blomsten’s goal with 13.4 seconds to play gave the Kings a 2-1 exhibition victory over the Dallas Stars on Monday night.
Greg Adams scored the tying goal for Dallas in a shorthanded situation with 8:44 to play after Vitali Yachmenev’s power-play goal with 15:38 remaining had given the Kings a 1-0 lead.
Meanwhile, the Kings decided not to appeal the automatic 10-game suspension handed out to defenseman Michel Petit last week by the NHL. Petit will be eligible to return on Oct. 21 at Pittsburgh.
