Stanton Man Hit, Killed While Crossing Street

STANTON — A 60-year-old man was killed early Sunday when he walked into the path of an oncoming car on Beach Boulevard, police said.
The man, identified as Felix Soto-Beltran of Stanton, was hit at 12:35 a.m. while crossing Beach Boulevard at Katella Avenue against the traffic signal, said Lt. Rich Paddock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim suffered massive head and internal injuries and was taken to West Anaheim Medical Center, where he died at 1:20 a.m., Paddock said.
The driver, a 19-year-old Laguna Niguel man, was driving on Beach Boulevard within the speed limit and was not cited, Paddock said. An investigation of the accident is underway, Paddock said.
