CANOGA PARK — Los Angeles police Saturday identified a 29-year-old man they said was stabbed to death on the street by another pedestrian.
Martin Garcia and another man were walking together south on Eton Avenue near Sherman Way about 6:45 p.m. Friday when the man turned and stabbed Garcia several times in the chest, then dropped the knife and walked away, Lt. Ray Lombardo said.
Garcia died later that evening at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. Lombardo said the stabber’s identity and motive are unknown.
