A virtual beer drinker’s delight, it’s the Pacific Coast BeerFest at the Earl Warren Showgrounds, Highway 101 and Las Positas Avenue, Santa Barbara. Held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, the second annual event features tasting from more than 60 breweries, plus entertainment, food sampling, cooking demonstrations and more. * Flutist Jill Felber and pianist Betty Oberacker--both faculty members at UC Santa Barbara--will present “New Music from the Pacific Rim” at 8 p.m. Friday at the campus’ Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall. The recital-lecture will feature solo and duo compositions from Taiwan, Mexico, Australia, Japan and California. The duo will also be joined by soprano Kimberly Hawkins. Tickets: $10, $7 students. * Central Coast Productions will present “Country Sizzle,” a two-day country music festival at Live Oaks Camp, off San Marcos Pass, California 154. Enjoy an array of live music--including Zaca Creek and Caught Red Handed--line dance lessons, cowboy poetry, children’s games and more. Festival hours: 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday, noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
