ORANGE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL / PREP EXTRA : DELTA LEAGUE : Heritage Christian Rolls to Mercy Rule Victory

HARBOR CITY — Josh Loara rushed for six touchdowns as Heritage Christian defeated Harbor City Gateway Christian, 60-14, Friday night in Delta League eight-man football.
The game was called with 10:22 left to play in the fourth quarter because of the league’s mercy rule.
Loara finished with 189 yards in 21 carries. His first two touchdowns gave the Patriots (5-1, 3-0) a 14-0 lead. After Gateway Christian (2-1 in league) scored a touchdown, Heritage Christian went on to outscore the Hawks, 46-6, the rest of the way.
Heritage Christian’s Jared Zielinski rushed for 99 yards in five carries and scored two touchdowns.
