THOUSAND OAKS : Cultural Awareness Week Events Planned

Cal Lutheran University is holding a cultural awareness week with a lecture set for Wednesday and a community festival Saturday.
James Sauceda, a poet who is founder and director of a multicultural theater troupe that brings diversity issues to schools, will speak Wednesday on “Creating Rainbows: An Interactive Approach for Cross-Cultural Communication.” The 3 p.m. lecture will take place in the Thousand Oaks campus’ Preus-Brandt Forum.
On Saturday, a “celebration of cultures” festival for the community will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kingsmen Park.
