Christmas Parade Entries Are Sought

SANTA PAULA — Residents interested in participating in the Santa Paula Christmas Parade should contact the local Optimist Club for an application.
Scheduled for the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the theme of the city’s 45th annual parade is “Christmas Memories.” Categories for entries range from equestrian and floats to automobiles and bands, said Ron Merson, a parade organizer.
About 40 trophies will be awarded to participants, who will be judged in categories that include the best use of the parade theme and the best band, Merson said.
The deadline to submit an application is Nov. 18. For more information, call 525-9439.
