Gonzalez, Felix Lead Estancia Past Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA — Estancia’s strong running game more than made up for a weak passing attack in its 42-18 victory over Costa Mesa in a Pacific Coast League game Thursday night at Orange Coast College.

Buchy Gonzalez was the leading rusher for Estancia (5-3, 1-2), gaining 138 yards in 15 carries and scoring one touchdown. Chris Felix rushed for 108 yards in 10 carries and scored two touchdowns, including a 67-yard run in the third quarter.

Costa Mesa (4-4, 1-2) scored first following a 44-yard interception by Chris Taylor early in the first quarter.
