An 18-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting in North Hollywood, Los Angeles police said.
Jorge Gonzalez of North Hollywood died Thursday night of a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, Lt. Ron LaRue said. The shooting occurred about 10 p.m. in the 11900 block of Hart Street near Gentry Avenue, as Gonzalez and another man walked along the street. A car drove by once, made a U-turn and passed the two men again, LaRue said. The occupants of the car yelled out a gang slogan and opened fire, officials added.
Gonzalez died at the scene. The other man was not injured, police said. No arrests have been made.
