In the fiscal year 1994-95, the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services immunized 778,105 people against measles, mumps, polio, rubella and other childhood diseases.

Last year, out of more than 5 million patients who visited one of the county’s community clinics, health centers or hospitals, 37% were without health insurance.
