Santa Barbara City 37, Pierce 30--Quarterback J.T. Stone ran 24 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with one minute two seconds remaining for the host Vaqueros (3-3-1, 3-2-1, 1-1) in a North Division game.
Stone completed 28 of 44 passes for 375 yards. He hooked up with former Agoura High receiver Ryan Capretta on a 45-yard touchdown pass play.
Pierce (1-6, 1-5, 0-2) had taken a 30-29 lead barely a minute earlier on a five-yard pass from Dave Muir to Ronnie Blair. Muir completed 25 of 37 passes for 346 yards and one touchdown with one interception. He also scored on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Jermaine Brooks caught eight passes for 100 yards and Reggie James caught seven for 87 yards.
Tyrone Francis gained 50 yards in seven carries for Pierce.
Santa Barbara’s Twuan Hill gained 56 yards in 12 carries and scored two touchdowns, all in the second half after he was benched in the first half.
