Village Christian 44, Western Christian 14--Aaron Funk scored three touchdowns to lead Village Christian (5-2, 3-0) to its third consecutive league victory at Charter Oak High.
Funk had a 40-yard interception return to go with rushing touchdowns of five and nine yards. He carried 15 times for 122 yards, 120 in the first half.
Chris Coleman completed seven of 13 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Coleman threw a 35-yard scoring pass to Tim Gustafson in the second quarter, and less than a minute later connected with Jim Pritchard for a 34-yard score.
Western Christian (0-8, 0-3) was held to 43 rushing yards and committed five turnovers. Tony Yousif returned a punt 50 yards for a touchdown to give Village Christian a 44-7 fourth-quarter lead.
