Stephen Prutsman will replace Anatol Ugorski for Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto with the Pacific Symphony Wednesday and Thursday at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Ugorski withdrew because of illness. Prutsman played Mozart’s Concerto No. 24 with the orchestra in August at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre. (714) 755-5799.
Opera Pacific ended its ninth season in the black by $123,507 on a budget of $5.6 million, according to unaudited figures released by the organization. Paid attendance for the season, which ended Aug. 31, was 90%, a company record. Attendance was 71% the previous year.
