So much for that three-day carry-over in the Pick Six at Santa Anita.
After Tis Careno, the longest shot in the field, won Thursday’s fifth race at $67.80, and Kelley’s Kite scored at 13-1 in the sixth, another carry-over seemed certain.
However, a ticket bought at Louisiana Downs isolated all six winners. It was worth $997,077.40, the second-largest Pick Six in Santa Anita history. The record came Oct. 19, 1994, when one ticket was worth $1,010,221.20.
The only winning favorite in the six races Thursday was Cutlass Pro, who won the ninth race at 2-1.
