Orange Sweeps Past Sunny Hills

Orange defeated Sunny Hills, 15-11, 15-11, 15-8, to advance to the second round of the Southern Section Division II girls’ volleyball playoffs Wednesday at Orange High.

Orange (15-2) was led by Wendy Ames, who had 12 kills, and Katie Huber, who had six aces. Sunny Hills closed its season 13-4.

The Panthers, who play on Friday, will meet the winner of tonight’s Long Beach Wilson-North Torrance match.
