‘Patients’ Like Dr. Volvo’s Practice

We have two Volvos in our family and both are serviced at Jerry Fair’s Dr. Volvo Independent Service because the work is excellent and the price is right. Now I see that Volvo Cars of North America is trying to muscle Fair out of business (“Protecting Good Name,” Nov. 8), presumably because their dealers are losing customers to Fair.
This perversion of the free-enterprise system denies freedom of choice to the consumer and is to be vigorously opposed as a matter of principle, whatever car you drive. Are Volvo’s policy-makers too thick to realize that we drive Volvos because of the excellent service at Fair’s shop?
