Long Beach-Chicago Flights to Begin

Sterling One, a new Long Beach-based air service, will begin round-trip service from Long Beach Municipal Airport to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Dec. 7 with one-way fares starting at $99, based on availability. The daily flights aboard a 160-seat 727 are scheduled to depart Long Beach at 12:45 p.m. and arrive at O’Hare at 6:30 p.m. Westbound flights are scheduled to leave Chicago at 9:30 a.m. and arrive in Long Beach at 11:42 a.m. Plans call for a second flight to be added on Fridays and Sundays on Dec. 15, a spokesman said.
