Roberts, the Eagles’ offensive leader all season, was often replaced when she moved into the back row. Saturday, in the state Division IV title match against Linden, she played the entire match and helped the Eagles with her defense and serving. “She dug a lot of balls and I don’t remember her missing a serve,” Coach Jim Downey said. Roberts also sparkled on offense. She had 25 kills, a record for a Division IV final, in the Eagles’ 5-15, 15-13, 15-12, 15-3 victory. “She has just been unstoppable,” Downey said. Tuesday, Roberts had a season-high 35 kills in a five-game victory over Tollhouse Sierra.
