Huntway Partners Misses $1-Million Debt Payment

Huntway Partners L.P. missed a $1-million scheduled debt payment Nov. 30 and is in default under terms of its loan agreement. But the Newhall-based company said it is in discussions with its lenders about the possible refinancing of the company’s debt obligations.
Huntway Partners is also scheduled to make a $1.25-million debt payment due Dec. 31.
The company operates two refineries in California and produces liquid asphalt used in road construction, as well as other oil byproducts. A third refinery in Coolidge, Ariz., is shut down and has been put up for sale.
