Medicare to Reimburse for Urohealth Products

COSTA MESA — Urohealth Systems Inc. said the federal Medicare program agreed to reimburse homebound patients for use of its female incontinence product.
Charles Laverty, the company’s chairman and chief executive, said the Medicare allowance would have a “monumental” effect on the company’s sales of the product because most of the potential users are elderly. However, he declined to make sales or earnings projections. The company began marketing the product last January.
