SAN CLEMENTE — BioLase Technology Inc. expects to report a loss of 4 cents to 6 cents a share for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a loss of 19 cents a share a year ago, the company said.
BioLase said it expects its fourth-quarter sales will be “somewhat higher” than a year ago, but less than its third-quarter sales.
For the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 1994, BioLase Technology reported sales of $117,246. For the third quarter ended Sept. 30, BioLase reported sales of $440,855.
The company, which manufactures laser products and biomaterials for dentistry and other medical specialties, said it is changing its focus this year to production and marketing from research and development. The company also said it is negotiating to expand its European and Asian distribution networks.
