Alternative Energy and Environmental Engineering, a Ventura firm whose activities range from construction to agriculture, has moved its downtown headquarters.
Formerly on Santa Clara Street, the company has moved to larger offices on East Front Street.
Owned by Phil White, an engineer, Alternative Energy has provided mechanical and environmental engineering in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties for 20 years. Current projects include the Santa Paula High School math-science building, a bed and breakfast facility at the Ojai Valley Racquet Club and a new DNA lab for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
The company is also involved in remodeling the engineering building at UC Santa Barbara and the American Commercial Bank building in Ventura.
In addition, Alternative Energy grows avocados, bananas and other fruit at a ranch on Rincon Mountain and is developing beachfront properties in Baja California.
