Fourth of July Events Committee Named

The City Council has appointed a six-member committee to oversee Huntington Beach’s Fourth of July parade and fireworks show.
Pam Julien has been appointed chairwoman and Karen Pederson vice chairwoman. The other board members are Robin Lemonds, Maureen Rivers, John Tillotson and Cathy Wagner.
The committee will coordinate organizational and fund-raising activities for the city’s 92nd annual parade, which is expected to draw more than 250,000 people.
The 1996 parade theme will be “A Salute to the Olympic Games” in honor of the Summer Games in Atlanta.
