The American Red Cross of Ventura County announced Friday its 1996 training schedule for volunteer disaster workers.
The classes are free and the Red Cross offers an array of courses designed to fit the talents and interests of volunteers.
All volunteers must take the four-hour Introduction to Disaster Services class, which provides information about the role of the Red Cross in aiding disaster victims. That class meets in the chapter headquarters, 2355 Portola Road in Ventura, the second Wednesday of each month through June, generally from 6 to 10 p.m.
Three introductory classes--Feb. 6, March 2 and May 2--will be offered from 6 to 10 p.m. in the East Valley District Office, 1919 Williams St., No. 200, in Simi Valley.
