Vote Set Next Week on Carpet Warehouse

A carpet warehouse is being proposed for a vacant site on West Mountain View Avenue.
The City Council is set next week to vote on a request from businessman Jack Brown to open the warehouse.
A proposal for a similar facility in Cypress drew a barrage of community opposition and resulted in an unsuccessful campaign to recall three City Council members who supported it.
No such sentiment has been voiced in La Habra, however, and the warehouse proposal already has preliminary approval from city officials.
Brown said the facility would fill the vacant lot at 551 W. Mountain View Ave.
