City Planning Ahead for 75th Anniversary

To make sure the city is ready for its 75th-anniversary celebration in the year 2000, a committee has begun organizing the festivities.
Robert Dale, who with Rene Shafer is already planning the event, said the committee will rally community support and focus on how best to commemorate the city’s achievements during the 1900s.
City officials said their role will include developing a vision for La Habra in the next 75 years and presenting their goals during the celebration.
