Kodak Expected to Sell Copier Division: Eastman Kodak Co.’s copier division, long the subject of sale speculation, will be auctioned soon because of losses and stiff competition from Xerox Corp., industry sources said. Kodak declined to comment on what it called “market rumors” about the possible sale. But as late as this fall, the photographic products company said its copier business was “not meeting its performance expectations.” The sale could be announced as early as Thursday when Kodak posts fourth-quarter and year-end earnings, said an industry insider.
