Police Search for Car of Homicide Victim

The Oxnard Police Department is seeking help from the public in locating the vehicle of a recent homicide victim.
The body of Ruth Avril, 73, of Oxnard, was found in an irrigation ditch at the end of Arnold Road in Oxnard on Dec. 22.
Avril’s black, 1987 four-door Taurus disappeared around the time of her death. The California tags read 2FKJ317.
Anyone with information regarding the vehicle’s whereabouts should call Det. Mike Palmieri at 385-7688.
No arrests have been made in Avril’s death.
