Authorities are searching for two bandits who robbed a Newbury Park fast-food restaurant early Thursday morning after forcing three workers into a safe, slightly injuring one of the employees.
According to investigators, two men in their mid-20s brandished a knife and handgun at the In-N-Out Burgers on Newbury Road about 1:30 a.m. The robbers, both described as Latinos standing about 5 foot, 9 inches and weighing about 150 pounds each, took the three workers into a large safe.
One of the robbers kicked a worker, who was later treated and released from Los Robles Medical Center, before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Ventura County sheriff’s deputies ask anyone with information on the crime to call 494-8276.
