Johnson Comes Back, but Everyone Doesn’t Put Out Welcome Mat

Dear Magic:
I was 14 years old when you joined the Lakers. I watched you leap into Kareem’s arms after he hit the skyhook at the buzzer. I watched your spectacular performance in Game 6 against the 76ers your rookie season. I watched you revolutionize the point guard position. I watched you make no-look passes that somehow only your teammates could see. I watched you in many All-Star games. I watched you win five NBA Championships. I was crushed when you retired with HIV. Thanks for the memories.
I watched as you grumbled to get Westhead fired. I watched your airball against Houston. I watched you turn against Riley. I watched you rip the Laker players over the past few years. I watched the Laker players quit on you as a coach. I watched you rip the current team only weeks ago. I watched you become the most outspoken 5% owner in sports history. Once you are bored or disgusted with “your” team, I will watch you walk away. Thanks for the memories.
