A 16-year-old boy was killed Monday afternoon when two or more youths with whom he was arguing pushed him into the path of a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in South-Central Los Angeles, police said.
Officer Manny Valladares, an LAPD spokesman, said the youths who attacked the boy were believed to be gang members. There were no immediate arrests.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at County-USC Medical Center a few minutes after he was struck by the Line 204 bus at Vermont Avenue and 39th Street.
