Paddling Their Way Out of Office

Thank you, Lynn Smith, for “Imagine Life With Respect and Caring for Children” (Jan. 24).
It has been quite apparent for some time that Assemblyman Mickey Conroy (R-Orange) and too many other Republicans have no respect for children. Their motto is, if they don’t behave, hit them.
By supporting mean-spirited corporal punishment bills, Republicans will surely lose control of the Assembly. Who’s going to vote for politicians who want to hit children? Civilized people are not doing that anymore.
