Riordan Appoints New Liaison to City Council
- Share via
Los Angeles Mayor Richard J. Riordan, whose tenure has been dogged by squabbling with the City Council, has appointed a new liaison to the council who will also oversee the mayor’s legislative office.
The new liaison, Stephanie Bradfield, replaces David Cobb, who will focus exclusively on the Alameda Corridor Project, a $1.8-billion economic development initiative intended to generate 10,000 jobs.
Bradfield served as public affairs director for GTE California in the late 1980s and previously held a number of posts in state government. She also worked in Seattle as public affairs director for the Washington State Hospital Assn. Last year, she worked in Kenya as a consultant to organizations involved in wildlife and the arts.
