TriStar to Expand Service on West Coast: The Las Vegas-based short-haul airline will enter the crowded West Coast market with three daily nonstop flights between Los Angeles and San Francisco, with rates ranging from $59 to $89, the company said. The tiny airline, which began service in July, said it will add two round-trips between Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport on March 18. A third flight will begin April 7, bringing the carrier’s total flights to 14. TriStar has marketing agreements with a dozen international airlines that are not allowed to fly between San Francisco and Las Vegas, and it gets nearly a third of its passengers from Pacific Rim nations and Europe.
