Quaker to Sell Frozen Foods Lines: Hoping to focus more on its troubled Snapple beverage line, Chicago-based Quaker Oats Co. put its North American frozen foods business, including Aunt Jemima and Celeste pizza products, up for sale. Quaker in the last 18 months has been shedding other businesses as it tries to shore up its poorly selling Snapple tea and juices. Quaker’s frozen food products are made in a Jackson, Tenn., plant employing about 450 people. The company acquired Snapple in November 1994 for $1.7 billion--a price most analysts considered too high. The company’s stock was unchanged at $34.375 in trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
