Central Los Angeles : ‘Human Race’ to Be Run May 11

It’s time to start thinking about participating in the Human Race, described by organizers as a “5K-10K-run-walk-wheelchair competition” in Griffith Park.
Sponsored by the Volunteer Center of Los Angeles, it is scheduled for May 11.
Charities are invited to form teams to raise money through pledges, said Hank Castillo, spokesman for the volunteer center. Individual runners are also invited to participate in the USA Track and Field-sanctioned event.
A “Munchkin Mile,” for youngsters 9 and under, has also been scheduled.
