It seems a big leap of faith to assume, because the propositions passed favoring bonds for schools and seismic retrofitting, that the California economy is getting better. Given the few people who voted, it might just have been that those who didn’t lacked the gas money to get to the polls.

* If the propositions are meant for the people, how come they are written in an incomprehensible fashion, advertised as the reverse of what they are and require you to vote the opposite to get what you want?
