Moorpark Squeezes By Canyons

Scott Miller scored the eventual game-winning run on Ben Yosfan’s suicide squeeze in the ninth inning as Moorpark upset host Canyons, 10-9, in a Western State Conference game Tuesday.
Steve Klein and Eric Jue hit home runs for Moorpark (9-17, 6-9 in WSC play). Canyons (16-15, 11-4) got home runs from Rick Nadeau, Justin Bunch, Luis Sanchez and Jeremy Seipel.
In other WSC games:
Pierce 9, Hancock 3--Mike Glendenning slugged his ninth home run and drove in two runs for the host Brahmas (19-9, 9-5).
Oxnard 4, Glendale 0--Mike Muller had three hits and two runs batted for the Condors (21-6, 12-2) at La Canada High.
Valley 5, Ventura 2--John Shellabarger’s three-run double in the seventh inning broke a 2-2 tie at Valley (10-21, 6-9).
