Event to Fete DARE, Community Services

Community services and the DARE program in Moorpark will be celebrated June 1 at Arroyo Vista Community Park.
A car show, pony rides, carnival games, food and entertainment will be featured at the Moorpark Community Celebration, which will showcase programs and services in Moorpark as well as the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program and its graduates.
Sponsored by the Moorpark Community Services Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, which provides law enforcement and runs the DARE program in the city, the event is free and open to the community.
The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be followed by a free twilight dance on the roller hockey rink at Arroyo Vista Community Park from 6 to 8 p.m.
