Solomon Interview

Thanks for your wonderful interview with Daniel Solomon (Opinion, April 21).

Your superb articles on architecture in the various sections of your paper are always most enlightening to read. Perhaps it’s the city itself (sterotyped as “shallow”) that makes it a special challenge to architects. I do hope, having lived in L.A., that some of the great landmarks (Magnin and Bullock’s in mid-Wilshire) can be respectfully preserved.
