A 37-year-old Northridge man was killed Friday when his car stopped on the Simi Valley Freeway and was slammed by a pickup truck, authorities said.
The man, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was driving a Honda Civic west before 1 a.m. Friday when it spun out and stopped in the slow lane east of Reseda Boulevard, CHP Officer Doug Reynolds said.
The pickup barreled into the stopped car, fatally injuring the Honda driver, Reynolds said. The driver of the pickup was taken to Granada Hills Community Hospital with moderate injuries.
