Bank of America on Friday offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two men who robbed its Van Nuys branch Thursday and sprayed gunfire into a door as terrified hostages huddled on the ground.
After interviewing witnesses, investigators said there were two robbers rather than the three originally reported.
The 10 a.m. takeover robbery was the fifth high-profile heist in the San Fernando Valley within 10 days.
“We are outraged by this violent crime, and we are committed to finding and bringing to justice the individuals responsible,” Bank of America Executive Vice President Lisa Prescott said in a statement.
The robbers are described as 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1 in height and 170 to 180 pounds.
They wore masks and their race is unknown.
