* Re “L.A. Again Fights Burbank Airport Plans,” April 25.
Congratulations are due to Councilman Joel Wachs, regarding the city’s suit against expansion of Burbank Airport. Regarding airport Executive Director Tom Greer’s statement that the airport has spent millions of dollars soundproofing schools: He makes it sound as if that solves the noise problem. I’d like to invite him to my home in Sherman Oaks on any morning, starting promptly at 7 a.m., provide him with a cup of coffee and The Times, place him on my patio and see if he can relax--even concentrate--with the half-dozen or more low-flying jets roaring overhead every hour. If he can, he’s a Zen master in disguise.
