Weekend Box Office : ‘Craft’s’ Magical Start Surprises Experts
- Share via
“The Craft,” Columbia’s supernatural thriller starring four teenage girls, surprised experts by topping the weekend box office, beating out the holdovers “The Truth About Cats & Dogs,” “The Quest” and “Primal Fear” as well as the high-profile newcomers “Last Dance” and “The Pallbearer.” The comic-book-come-to-life “Barb Wire” failed to make the top 10 despite heavy publicity for its star, TV actress Pamela Anderson Lee, and going out on more than 1,300 screens.
